Viola completed her bachelor’s degree in Food and Biotechnology at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna. She then pursued a master’s degree in Organic Chemistry at Stockholm University with a focus on organic synthesis. She also gained hands-on experience in the field of solar cells (PSCs and DSSCs) in Sweden.
During her doctoral studies, funded by a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship within the framework of an Innovative Training Network (ITN), Viola conducted research at the University of Maribor and the Vienna University of Technology. Her work focused on polymer chemistry, in particular photoemulsion polymerization and 3D printing.
In addition to publications in international scientific journals, Viola has gained practical experience working with startups in Austria and Sweden.
Viola has been working as a patent attorney trainee since 2022. She has been a registered representative before the European Patent Office (European Patent Attorney) since 2026.
